Broken hearts find your way / Make it through just this day (For Rebekah)
[ooc: After this.]
Well, that needed to not happen again, Damon thought to himself as he moved through the city, blending with the crowd and shadows. The bright lights were all around, but that just kept even more people's attention off of him. There were too many other things to look at.
He'd forgotten how easy it was to hunt in the city, and he had to wonder why the hell he'd ever left. It wasn't for anything...god. It seemed so long ago. Thinking he'd be the one to free Katherine. That she'd love him forever, that they'd hunt the night and lord it over everyone else, just the two of them.
That he wouldn't be alone, haunted only by the girl who'd been taken and the brother who'd damned him.
Fuck, but what was that saying? The more things changed...
A girl bumped into him, and apologized before thinking she could slip past him. Damon's hand slipped out and grabbed her arm, hard and fast. Before she could bother protesting, he had caught her gaze, compelled her to silence. Then slinging an arm around her, he guided her down the street, looking for a quiet place for a snack.
Maybe that would take his mind off the level of fucking horror these last few months. Or keep him from taking out his phone and sending a text for another night of...not aloneness.

Honestly, though, it was better that he thought that as she didn't want him thinking that she cared about what happened to him.

"Whatever you're afraid of happening if I cross over from the wrong side of the tracks," he said quietly.
no subject
"I'm not scared of anything." She meant for her words to have bite but they came out too softly to be true.
no subject
"As you say." He glanced over at the girl, who was standing obediently. "Shall I just take her and go, then?"
no subject
Without looking too closely at why, she shook her head. "No, just bring her along." She instructed, nodding in the direction she had been going as she made the decision that Damon and his pet would be following her. "I'm going to a club nearby." in other words, she was going hunting.
no subject
He shot the girl a glance. "Come along. We're going dancing."
The girl looked a little confused--she'd been going somewhere else, and wasn't sure what she'd wandered in to--but she found herself nodding as she moved to join them.

"It's a dark club, very...intimate." She smirked at him then though she meant more that there were plenty of dark shadows and corners where they could feed as they wished.
no subject
"I don't know. You, me, dark corners. Sounds dangerous..."

The bouncer saw them coming and he straightened at the sight of Rebekah, stepping to the side as he motioned for her to enter with a smile as he ignored the complaints from the small line that had already formed. Rebekah smirked at the bouncer, giving him a little pat on the chest like she would to an adored pet as she sailed past into the dark confines of the club.

But, instead, he followed her past the bouncer, reaching to tug his dinner in after him as they entered. He scanned the room, the dark not really a problem for him, gaze sharp and alert, but given he had dinner by the arm, it was mostly curious.

"Find a table? I'll be back shortly." She flashed him a smirk before slipping away, her movements graceful with a predator's edge to them. She had already spotted someone who caught her interest: a young man with sandy colored hair surrounded by some friends who all turned to watch Rebekah as she approached.
no subject
They did.
He slid into the circular booth, pulling the girl with him. With half an eye, he was looking at Rebekah, but he started nuzzling at the girl's neck, even as he watched her.
no subject
It wasn't long before she had his hand in her own and she was leading him to where Damon was sitting with his girl. Her eyes narrowed a bit at the sight of Damon nuzzling the girl's neck but then she simply turned that urge off as it was no business of hers what he was doing. Especially when he was feeding.
Sliding in, she drew the boy closer with a pleased smirk as he sat down beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. it would make feeding easier.
no subject
All right, focusing on the girl. He shot the other two a bit of a smile, then trailed fingertips up and down her neck, until she was shivering a bit against him, clearly not protesting anything he might want to do to her. That, he had to admit, was very nice.

Leaning in as he whispered to her, she smiled as she could smell the blood beneath the skin, all too aware of how his heart was racing with anticipation which made her fangs ache with hunger. Turning her head, she nuzzled along his jaw, letting her lips brush over his skin as his hand landed lightly on her thigh.

Oh gods above, what did she even care?
Cursing him inside her head, she turned her attention back to the boy as he drew her closer, sensing he had lost her attention for a moment but now she almost didn't want to. Her mood was spoiling quickly and now she just wanted to hurt someone. When the guy actually whined at her, she slapped a hand over his mouth, meeting his gaze as she hissed. "Shut up and stay quiet." Any tension melted as he nodded slowly.
And he did stay quiet when she moved her mouth to his neck, biting him a bit harder than she might have planned but he wouldn't complain or care as she started to drink.
no subject
"You can go now. You never met me, and you don't know what happened to your neck, but it's all okay..."
She frowned a bit, but then nodded and slipped out of the booth to leave.
Damon shifted his gaze to Rebekah.
no subject
"There. Now you can go away and forget me. All you remember is that you had fun tonight, got it?"
The guy nodded with a dreamy smile before slipping out and wandering back to his friends for a round of high fives. Rebekah settled back then, flagging down a waitress to order them a bottle of whiskey and two glasses.
no subject
"That was very cautious of you..." Healing the guy's wounds. It hadn't really ever occurred to him, as evidence by the whole "OMG VAMPIRE ATTACKS" by the Council when he got back to town.
no subject
"Though sometimes trouble is just too fun to ignore, isn't it?" She commented before focusing on the waitress with a nod when she brought them the bottle and two glasses.

Understatement of the century. Hi, he'd gone toe to toe with Klaus, even, and invited Elijah to dinner plotting his murder. Neither of those had been very...smart things, and probably on an even level with whatever he was doing here.
