"I'm not like you."

Damon had spat the words at Matt, rejecting his words, his offer, and they echoed in his head now and again. But when he walked away, there had been only one place he felt he could go: home. Part of him was certain he should have gone elsewhere, somewhere he could disappear.

The other part of him half-wanted to be found, wanted to see if they would come after him, come to find him.

Florence had always been home, a place where he could settle into like a second skin. Funny now, how badly he'd wanted to get out of it when he'd been human. Now, it was a beacon, always.

He'd settled back into the exclusive house on Via Tornabuoni, its polished wood and marble frescoes and inlaid floors soothing something inside of him. Tonight, though, he'd left it for the clubs he knew a lot of students frequented. They always made such easy hunting, the girls all but begging to be embraced by darkness. It was almost too easy.

He had a drink in his hand, sitting on a couch in the VIP section. Several girls were vying for his attention, but he was only half paying attention, his thoughts half a world away.

Turning her head slightly, she looked at the guy once more, smirking a bit as he pointed out that there wasn't much more fun to have with him. "Oh, there's a bit." There was a flash of wicked intent there but it was gone in the blink of an eye as she tilted her head to the side. "Do you think you can be better company for me then?"

"Not a whole night's worth," Damon murmured, lips curving a bit as he watched her. "I have no doubt I can be."

Rebekah let out a low chuckle, her nails still teasing lightly over the inside of his wrist. "Prove it."

He gave her an assessing look, then leaned in, lips brushing along her jaw until they lingered by her ear. His voice was just for her as he murmured, "How much of a demonstration would you like?"

She held still as he leaned in, his presence filling her senses as she smirked a bit at the feel of his lips against her skin. It was a nice feeling after all and so she leaned into him slightly as she turned her head to bring her mouth near his own ear. "I like people who go all in." She murmured softly.

That was not a problem, and Damon shifted enough to bring his lips back to hers, hovering there for a moment, teasing, as if debating, before letting his hand glide to cradle her cheek and kissing her.

Rebekah watched him as he touched her cheek gently, seeming to still weigh his options before he finally leaned in to kiss her. Lifting her hand to curl her fingers around his wrist, she merely held on as she kissed him back, keeping the kiss soft even as she let some hunger feed through.

He kept the kiss light, but sure, lips moving over hers tasting her, fingertips running lightly over her skin, feeling its cool smoothness under them. It had been a while since he had kissed another vampire. She tasted good, the hints of blood lingering on her lips. His tongue swiped slowly over her lower lip to taste more of her.

Lifting her hand, she touched her fingers to the spot under his chin, brushing teasingly as her tongue danced lightly against his to taste a hint of the girl he had fed on. Still, he tasted better in her mind and she couldn't resist nipping his bottom lip as she broke the kiss.

"Do you want to take them with us?" She asked with a smirk as she glanced back at the couple.

He glanced over at them, mostly unconcerned, as his attention had shifted fully to her. "We can if you want to, but otherwise, I'm done with them."

The idea of taking the couple to drain them later was tempting and it showed it the darkness of her eyes as she considered it but then she let it go. Really, he was much more interesting than that. "I'm done with them too."

He wouldn't have protested if they'd taken them, but he really just...didn't want anything distracting him, even if it was blood, life, Power.

"Then let's get out of here."

"Lead the way." She smirked, rising to her feet while holding out her hand to him.

He stood with her, wrapping her hand in his. "I guess that means we're headed to my place."

"You don't mind?" She asked with a soft chuckle, linking their fingers as she followed him out of the VIP area. "I know some of our kind can be territorial about their homes."

He gave her an arch glance. "Are you going to come back in the middle of some night and put a stake through my heart?"

"A stake really isn't my style." She replied with a bit of a smirk.

Damon led her out of the club into the warm night air. "No? What would you say your style is?"

"I guess you'll have to wait and see, won't you?" Rebekah chuckled softly.

"I guess I will." Probably taking her back to his place wasn't smart, but whatever. Damon had been in a reckless mood since he rushed Klaus in that clearing.

But his reckless mood was working out well for her at the moment. Enjoying the night air as it swirled around them, she glanced quietly towards the sky, noticing the lingering clouds that threatened to block out the moon. Cloudy days suited her fine but not cloudy nights.

Suddenly there was a faint gust of air as the clouds started thinning out.

Damon felt the stirring of Power and chuckled a little, glancing up at the clearing sky. He preferred the stars and moon to clouds, as well, though he was quick to bring them during the day, if he bothered to get up. With not needing to blend in, or stalk Elena, it worked well enough for him to sleep most of the day in natural rhythms.

"We could see the stars better out of the city."

"True but the hunting is horrible. Unless you like to snack on animals." Her nose wrinkled in distaste as she just couldn't understand the vampires who chose to live that way.

Damon's face mirrored hers. "Not unless there's absolutely no other alternative." He never would understand Stefan's desire to do so.

"Even then." She shook her head, knowing she would feed on an animal if she absolutely needed to but she didn't think she would ever catch herself in that position.

"Where do you live?"
