"I'm not like you."
Damon had spat the words at Matt, rejecting his words, his offer, and they echoed in his head now and again. But when he walked away, there had been only one place he felt he could go: home. Part of him was certain he should have gone elsewhere, somewhere he could disappear.
The other part of him half-wanted to be found, wanted to see if they would come after him, come to find him.
Florence had always been home, a place where he could settle into like a second skin. Funny now, how badly he'd wanted to get out of it when he'd been human. Now, it was a beacon, always.
He'd settled back into the exclusive house on Via Tornabuoni, its polished wood and marble frescoes and inlaid floors soothing something inside of him. Tonight, though, he'd left it for the clubs he knew a lot of students frequented. They always made such easy hunting, the girls all but begging to be embraced by darkness. It was almost too easy.
He had a drink in his hand, sitting on a couch in the VIP section. Several girls were vying for his attention, but he was only half paying attention, his thoughts half a world away.

"So, how long have you been in town?"
no subject
"Nearly a month now."
no subject
"That would be why I haven't seen you then, I suppose. I just got back in town a week or so ago--I haven't really made the rounds until tonight."

Who were the easiest prey, of course. So excited about a "foreign experience," and so hard to find when they went missing.

Something different would be nice. He shot her an amused look, though something more settled, more curious rested behind it. "You think I'm the right person?"

At his question, she gave Damon the once over again. As though she could know the truth just by looking him over from head to toe and supposedly whatever she saw made her nod. "I think you're exactly the right person." She murmured, her voice rich with promise as she started to draw away from him.
She started towards the couple then, sliding through the crowd while seeming to dance as well.

A bit of a smirk curved his lips as he waited for them to notice.

When Damon reached her again, Rebekah turned towards him slightly, still moving to the music even as it looked like she was dancing with him as well as the couple. The guy inched closer to Rebekah after a few minutes and Rebekah flashed Damon a smirk before turning towards him slightly.

After a bit, she nodded before motioning to Damon with a small smirk. When the guy nodded, she slipped closer to the other vampire then, smirking. "Sweetheart, our friend here wants to know if we can go somewhere a little more private." She nodded towards the VIP area as she said it.

"Let me just chat with Paolo over there. Give me a moment...."
Not that the bouncer would say no to him, even without a little influencing, but it didn't help to have the prey think you'd done something special for them.

Giving a low laugh then, she dropped her hand away as Damon made his way back over.

His hand settled on Rebekah's waist, gesturing for the couple to precede them.

"Did your friend chase off your groupies?" She asked Damon with a little knowing smirk.

"I think they scattered for more promising waters when I stated dancing with you."
The couple was going to have to be very good to make up for missing that meal.
